The CVPE Educational Forum, sister organization to Community Voices for Public Education, is holding its first annual Fall Conference on Saturday, November 21, from 8:30-5pm at the United Way.

The conference, Current Issues in Education- the Good, the Bad and the Ugly, includes a strong line up of guest speakers. Don't miss this event.  Spend the day exploring some of the issues that our public schools are currently facing and networking with other people who care about public schools. Learn about the Texas school funding system, how Community Schools are succeeding in Austin, and the struggle for equitable, truly educational schools. Become a more informed and empowered advocate for public education.

Tickets cost $10 to cover breakfast and lunch but there is a sliding scale for students. Any students concerned about cost can donate what they are able at the door.
