Dozens of parents and educators with Community Voices for Public Education pleaded with the HISD school board Thursday night, April 16, 2013, to limit practice, or benchmark, exams for the state’s high-stakes STAAR test.

On Friday, April 12th, Ericka Mellon, a reporter and blogger for Houston Chronicle mentioned CVPE's efforts to stop over-testing in her K-12 Zone Blog.
