In the news — Texas takeover overreach again. Does not make it right or even lawful.

Fort Worth ISD:
There is no legal basis for the takeover Morath just announced. Fort Worth closed the only campus that could have triggered takeover two years ago. Morath is inventing a justification outside statute. HB 1842 doesn’t apply. SB 1365 doesn’t apply (FW has no conservator). No financial malfeasance. This is outside statute.
