We are being pushed to our limit by Gov. Abbott's rush to reopen. We are gathering on Saturday for a car caravan to let Gov. Abbott, TEA and HISD know that we won't be silent and we are united for a safe reopening. You can also early vote at the end of the caravan!

HFT's CAR CARAVAN PROTEST is this Saturday, Oct 17, from 10:00 am-11:15 am. The car caravan will meet at HISD, 4400 W 18th or across the street at 10 am to put our signs on our cars. The route is a couple of times around HISD Admin and then caravan to the nearby early voting site at Resurrection MCC Church, 2025 W 11th St. Bring signs but we will have some for you.
Already four HISD schools are temporarily closed due to COVID. It is only the second day since teachers have returned to campus. We all want to teach our students but we want to do it safely.

Will you publicly stand together this Saturday—teachers, support personnel, parents, students and community—to demand that Gov Abbott, TEA and HISD ensure a safer reopening? You can also early vote at the end of the caravan.
