Speak up at the HISD Board Budget Meeting! Demand accountability, transparency, and the adequate use of funds!

The budget meeting is Wednesday March 26th at 3 pm. come to the HISD Board Hearing and Budget Workshop meeting at 3:00 pm at HISD, at 4400 W 18th St. Bring family and friends.

See below for how to sign up online or by email to speak. You must sign up by noon on Tuesday (3/25).

1. Click "e-comment" for the meeting you wish to register for (far-right of the screen).
2. Sign in or create an account. Confirm your email address through the email sent to you (check spam). If you don’t receive it, call Board Services.
3. Pick an agenda item.Click both “register to speak” and “I agree.”
4. For Zoom participants, complete the Zoom form in the email you receive after registering. 

If you have issues registering, contact HISD Board Services at 713-556-6121 or [email protected] before noon on Wednesday for assistance.

Speakers are called in the order they sign in at the registration table in the HISD Lobby, unless the board president adjusts the order. Kids are first. Zoom speakers come after in-person speakers.

Total time to speak: If there are 30 or more speakers, you will have 1 min (150 words.) If there are less than 30 speakers, you will have 2 min (300 words.)

5. Si deseas hablar por Zoom, necesitas llenar el formulario de Zoom en el correo electrónico que recibirás después de registrarte.

Orden de participación: Los oradores serán llamados en el orden en que se registren en la mesa de inscripción en el vestíbulo de HISD, a menos que el presidente de la junta ajuste el orden. Los niños hablan primero. Los participantes de Zoom hablarán después de los oradores en persona.
