This is a conference and fundraiser powering the fight for public education in Houston, supporting advocacy, policy workshops, and community campaigns centered on Houston and Texas parents, students, and teachers.
The theme is Protect Public Education. Protect Democracy. At the forum, we’ll break down what’s really happening behind the takeover-charter-voucher agenda reshaping public schools—and what it will take to push back and reclaim public education as the foundation of a thriving democracy. We’ll also offer hands-on workshops on community journalism, Know Your Rights, and restorative circles.
English and Spanish sessions will be available, with childcare provided.
