Join us for the CVPE 2026 Summer Forum: Protecting Public Education, Protecting Democracy on Saturday, June 27 at Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church (2025 W 11th St., Houston, TX 77008).

At a time when public education is under attack, this conference (sessions in English and Spanish) will bring together parents, educators, students, and community members for a full day of learning, strategy, and connection focused on the future of our schools. Tickets are $25 and include breakfast and lunch.

We are honored to welcome Domingo Morel, author of Takeover, as our keynote speaker. Attendees can choose from more than a dozen sessions, including presentations from the Commission on the State Takeover, workshops on vouchers and charter expansion, the ethics of AI in schools, Rethinking the A-F Rating System, community journalism, restorative circles, Know Your Rights with the American Civil Liberties Union, and more.

Purchase tickets or become a sponsor here: houstoncvpe.org/forum2026

Please consider sponsoring this event. Sponsorships from $100–$2,500 and help make this gathering and our ongoing advocacy possible.

The future of public education will not be decided by those who stay home. Protecting our schools starts with being informed, connected, and organized. We hope to see you there.
