Our students deserve a better bond and an end to this harmful takeover. Every conversation, house meeting, poll shift, interview, and car painted with “VOTE NO: Kids deserve a better bond” has brought us to this point.
During early voting, many voters hadn’t heard about the bond and might have voted yes without volunteers like you sharing personal stories about why Mike Miles cannot be trusted with a $4.4 Billion bond, the harm this takeover has done to our children, and the poor planning behind this bond.
Voters listened, thanked you, and voted NO. No Trust, No Bond. But half of voters cast their ballots on Election Day.
Can you spend time at the polls Tuesday talking to voters? We need poll greeters at every high-turnout location.Bring your kids. Even one hour is great!
Don’t let the billionaire PAC dollars buy this election!

TIPS:
Approach people. Say “Hey, are you here to vote? Do you know about the school bond on the ballot? (Give your best 1-3 sentences to get a no vote.) You can also hold up a sign if it is hard to talk to voters.
- Say “Parents and teachers are voting against the HISD bond.”
-
Say "Democrats, Republicans and the Houston Chronicle all agree: Vote No to HISD Props A & B!"
- Say "I have two kids in HISD, and their experience with Miles has been so negative that I can’t support this bond until he’s gone. Our kids need better leadership more than new buildings."
- Say "Usually I back school bonds, but not this one—it gives Miles and the board too much unchecked control with no accountability to taxpayers."

You can also phonebank from home.[LINK with instructions]. RSVP here for Zoom link to phonebank with others.
Let’s defeat this bond tomorrow. And regardless of the outcome, we will keep fighting to end this harmful takeover. Every child—whether affluent or struggling, new to this nation or not, from Sunnyside to River Oaks—deserves to be nurtured, supported, inspired to love learning, and prepared not just for college or a career, but for a life of joy and purpose.
This is what we're fighting for.
