Will you join teachers, parents, students and community from across Harris County to send Governor Abbott and the Texas Legislature a message to protect our schools?  We are in the middle of a pandemic and it is #NotBusinessAsUsual. The governor needs to STOP STAAR, FUND our SCHOOLS and STOP COVID DEATHS. 

Meet at 4:45 pm on Monday, Dec 14, at 6515 Irvington (HCDE an ally.) This will be a short outdoor socially distanced demonstration/vigil and you can also participate at the event from inside your car, watching FB Live on the CVPE group page. Bring signs to hold or put on your car.

Ironically, just last week, the conservative group, ALEC, ranked Gov Abbott as the nation's top governor for keeping states' spending low. We need to send a message to the governor that the people of the great state of Texas want a governor who cares for the children in the state, not one who would balance the budget, holding their learning and their very lives at risk.
