Miles should care more about teaching our schoolchildren to read and love learning than his propaganda team. Hspent half a million on one lavish show starring himself. Today he took an extensive film crew to a middle school to film a staged event and will spend the afternoon on another Straight from the Source Reality show. Here is some real news from the last week.

A University of Houston educator stopped teaching a course in protest of his student's placements in HISD schools his students' placements in HISD schools, where he said the "scripted curriculum" for kids made it impossible for student teachers to complete assignments. Read the article here and listen to his interview here.

HISD said 1,000 kids could get hotspots after losing free internet. Only 50 received them. “About 50 of the 1,000 students who were relying on the program (that HISD cancelled) for at-home internet have received T-Mobile hotspots that the district offered as a replacement to needy students, according to email records and a district spokesperson.

It's not about cellphones: Students + parents at HISD's Madison High School are so upset that they have had several walkouts and protests this month.
