The takeover has destabilized schools through massive educator turnover, declining enrollment, and the unchecked use of public funds that bypass classrooms. Trust has been replaced with control. Teachers are treated as expendable and students as problems to manage.

This year, CVPE brought together parents, teachers, students, and community members to speak up and show up. Together, we fought for better schools and stronger support for Houston’s kids and educators.
